JW Garment BSCI Examination Passed

JW Garment Co., Ltd. is specialized in garments and scarf. 

The main production process in audited factory: Cutting – Sewing – Ironing – Packing. 

The audited factory rented the 4F of one 6-storey building from landlord used as workshop, warehouse and office, the audited factory provided the rent contract and business license for review. Confirmed by auditor on site tour, the product of audited factory was different from the other factories in the plant and the management was independent, no workers exchange was identified, so the audit scope only covered the rented area of audited factory.

The main auditee had established the written procedures to implement the requirement of amfori BSCI. Responsible person on implementation of amfori BSCI requirement, health & safety, regulation assessment were appointed by top management. The non-compliances were observed in below performance areas: Social Management System, Workers Involvement and Protection, Fair Remuneration, Decent Working Hours, Occupational Health and Safety. The general manager and worker representative attended the opening meeting and closing meeting. The onsite CAP was signed by general manager and worker representative.

During the audit, factory management was cooperated, and all interviewees stated that they were satisfied with management and working condition. Meanwhile, factory management stated that they would improve the non-compliances observed in the audit and establish the improvement plan by amfori BSCI requirements as soon as possible.

There were total 46 workers in the factory. Total 5 workers were sampled during the audit, including 2 males and 3 females. All of them were permanent and all of them were from other provinces.

No Consolidated Working Hours System Approval obtained by the auditee, so the documented valid authorisation to make

exemptions on working hours was not applicable.

The audit is not SPA, so the self declaration of producer was not applicable.

No building safety certificate obtained by the auditee.

The EIA report was not applicable for auditee.
